One more time..

(quite) Some time ago there was a thread that discussed the strength of the bolts and nuts that hold the control system together and in it was a recommendation for a particular kind of 4-40 and 2-56 screws that are exceptionally strong.

I had the URL and ordered a bag from the outfit, but have since moved and now not only have I lost track of the bag, the URL of the supplier is on the hard drive of a computer I no longer use.

Can anyone provide me with the link to the 'bulletproof' bolt and nut company?

Grade 8 hardware is supposed to be the strongest.

Can't remember the issue, but there was a good run-down on grades and suppliers in Noel Drindak's Technology column in SN, a year or so ago.

Order Grade 8 bolts. They are rated at 180 ksi. This is a "standard" reasonably high strength level used in the full size aircraft industry. There are stronger bolts out there, but you don't want to pay for them! (i.e. hundreds of dollars a bolt!!!)...

Buy in bulk..minimum of 100 at a time....It will keep the cost down!
