I have a Como .51 and was wondering how it differs from the Super Tigre, and their relation to one another. I've always been curious. Thanks for any enlightenment!

As usual, it depends. There was a baffle piston Como .51 that was pretty close, if I recall correctly. The later schurnle/Perry ported version is less tractable. I emailed GMA about it quite a while back and he was working on one at the time. The way the head/sleeve is made makes it hard to do the typical porting job to make it run like a Stunt engine. He was not pleased with the engine enough to reccomend it for a conversion. Given the newer philosophy of high RPM low pitch, you might be able to make it work. I had a couple and never tried it. Sold them to some R/C guys.

P.S. I did find out a Thunder Tiger .54 four stroke mounts in the same place and it runs GREAT on a 110% Medic --mhd
