Supertigre G21/46, wrist pin pad marks on cylinder

I experience that the aluminium pads place at both ends of piston wristpin mark the cylinder, sometimes grooves get pretty noticeable.
Any solution? Teflon pads perhaps? I have this problem on 3 out of 5 engines.

Are you sure they are grooves instead of a slight buidup of aluminum. I thought that the Tigre Sleeve is steel (or hardened steel), so it is surprising that aluminum could groove it.

Also as long as the "grooves" don't align with a port, I don't think that they will actually do very much, since the ring is above the wristpin.

It's unlikely the marks you're seeing are truly grooves.they are probably burnished areas caused by depositing a small amount of Al on the bore.If they are infact grooves in the cylinder they are almost certainly caused by dirt having gotten embedded in the Al pad.The Tigre cylinders are chromed,and are completely compatible with Aluminum,even under marginal lubrication conditions.You can clean them up ,ifit's embedded dirt,with an extremely fine file or a diamond honing "stone" with water.DO NOT use emery paper or any other abrasive coated paper.The abrasive will load the Aluminm and make matters worse.
