I would like to thank everyone that contributed to this great event. Craig Bartlett,John Thompson, John's wife (registration) Mike Hazel, Dave Gardner (ED Stunt ) plus all the other workers .
This was the type of weather we sometimes get for this contest. Saturday was pretty good. Early Sunday was medium..then the wind pumped up. We have some pretty good weather most of the time. So next year I hope to see a few more people.

John,

That was John's wife. Man, my estimate of John just went up about 10 notches.

I had a great time also! Many thanks to Bill Ledden and Rod Claus for their help in running D-Bat...there were a bunch of great matches that made it a gas to watch. PTG was interesting to watch...he just flew around, feeling out the unfamiliar airplane (not much power, not much line tension, kinda scary!), then zip-zip, and the opponent was missing some streamer. Bob Carver and Mel Lyne were too busy talking about something, to start combating. The mean ol' E.D. kept blasting the fog horn at them, until they got the hint! We don't put up with boring combat matches.

I also enjoyed sharing judging duties with Pat Johnston and Alana Perry ("Stunt Chick" from the Great White North), seeing old friends, meeting new ones, and seeing some new & beautiful airplanes (like Randy's, Ted's, Unkle Jimby's, Carl Shoup's, and the others. Especially great to see Leo Mehl back after his serious health issues last year. Steve

Yep, that was my Kathy. You can see how she keeps me in line! She enjoyed working on the registration, and spent many hours organizing the advance registration, etc.
I should also mention the help of Kris Hunt and Louise Spears, who worked at the registration table at various times. They made everything go smoothly.
