Rustoleum // Which Colors?

Would any of you know which Rustoleum colors are fuel proof??

There is a real recent thread here on that subject. To my personal knowledge, Red, White, Black and bright yellow are fuel proof to 5% nitro. I read that all standard colors are fuel proof to 15% aluminum and metallics are supposedly not fuel proof.

In that same thread it was discovered that Rustoleum "Clear" is also fuel proof. Therefore, you can still use the Aluminum and Metallic colors as long as they are coated with the Rustoleum clear.

Two questions about Rustoleum.

1. Is the spray can Rustoleum the same as the regular cans, i.e. could I use the canned mixture, thinned in a spray gun and be fuel proof??

2. Has anyone used clear Rustoleum over butyrate colors? I'm using butyrate clear but not happy with the fuel resistant qualities.

I may do a test program. If so, I will publish the results in Stunt News.

So far the Red and Black Rustoleum trim on my Shark .45 has proved to be every bit as fuel proof as out of the spray cans. There's no reason to believe the other solid colors are any different. I'm still trying to find some of the Rustolem clear myself. Do you have any idea which stores do carry the clear?
