Palmer date?

In the Upcoming Events conference Larry has the dates of the Palmer meet at Whittier Narrows set for June 19 and 20. Is this correct? I have correspondence from Warren Walker (February 24) that states the dates will be June 26 and 27.

The last I heard about the Palmer is:

Bob Palmer Classic , June 26th & 27th.
Whittier Narrows, El Monte , CA.

Have not confirmed with Mike Fox. Haven't seen a flyer or formal announcement. It would be great if it really was the 19th & 20th, those are much better dates for me.

What's the real scoop?

I have really enjoyed this contest the past 4 years. Always look forward to attending.

FWIW, my vote is for the 26th and 27th. The 20th is Father's Day and Mrs. Moran has plans that would be impolitic to mess with.

I-5 heading south from the Bay area:

You pass north of downtown LA, and hit the 60 freeway. Head west on 60.

You will pass the 710 freeway, and go about another 6 miles.

Get off on Rosemead Blvd. headed north. There you are! The flying area is in the southwest corner on the west side of Rosemead. You can easily see it from the freeway on your left just before you exit.

There is a Ramada Inn two exits farther along. The area is known as South El Monte.

Larry, wouldn't you want to head east on the 60 from the 5 to get to Whittier Narrows?

I think west on the 60 fwy is incorrect. Should be East??
