Sig 1/2A Cricket

I have an old plan and plane by Sig called the Cricket. It is a foam wing with a box fuselage for the C*x bees and widows. I would like to know its production time frame, also the targeted market and any other history. I have never seen it advertized. I have Sig catalogs back to the late '70s. Was it just sport or was it a club racing/combat/stunt kit for 1/2A?

A nifty little sportster for kids, early-to-mid '70s. I still miss mine. Super easy to build an attractive 1/2A with a full fuselage and stunt potential. Had nice molded plastic wingtips IIRC, complete with molded-in line guide on one of them. Nice bubble canopy. I put an instrument panel in mine, decorated the foam wing with trim $onokote and fuel proofed with spray urethane varnish. A really cute model, and I really miss it. I sure wish they still offered it (or at least the wing and plastic parts!), it was unique. And it should stunt with a sufficiently hot 049.
