If you look at godzilla's post, you will see what I was "not" referring to when I posted. Also there has been a "rumor" as to presenting TWO picture ID's. I only have a driver's liscense and don't think I am going to get a Passport to go to Muncie to watch at a site where my AMA dues, IIRC, helped to build the site that is being used. $50 and two picture ID's to be a spectator.
These "rumors" are from pretty realiable sources.

First I've heard of it, and I am going as a mechanic, all the way into the pits/circle.

Your "pretty realiable sources" aren't. Better scratch that one off your list.

Actually Kirk, I was really psyched to see the WC stunt fliers. But an extra $50 and the question of picking up a second picture ID has pretty much kicked that in the gluteus maximus.
Will take the couple hundred dollars that the trip was going to cost me and put it into some more model supplies.
I really wish the US Team the best.
And whoever that came up with this admission fee crap, "ay the stench of a thousand camels forever fill their abode!!"

As I am sure you know by now, there is no charge to see the WC. The fifty dollors was for those wishing to attend other functions that you needed to be a suporter of the team to enter. Those events cost some money to put on and if you pay the $50 you are now a full fledged suporter of the team and can attend those functions. I think thats the short of it. So takes your money and go see the WC for free. Take lots of pics for me if I can't get there!
