delayed 1st flight

about 14 years ago I built this for a guy in N.Y.
he had a turn of events in his life so he did not fly this or even breakin the engine until about 2 or so years ago
when he did take it out he only ran the engine once and then put about 4 or 5 flights on it.
Sadly he passed away last summer and I ended up getting this and several others back from his estate and so
I will now fly this one for my very first time.

we treated the plane as if it was new and unfamiliar territory, Don T. did the honors of starting and John launched for our first flight
I guess it was somewhat of a success, I did a few insides, square loops, wingover and I even flew inverted for a few laps and then made a pretty smooth.....first landing with no major bouncing

after the first flight we all decided that the engine still needs
breaking in before we can move on to serious flying & trimming this baby out.

thanks to Donnie & John for the help and it sure is fun having actual flyers to be with

It's a Sig Acrobat powered by a stock O.S. FP 40
and it's covered in all Monokote

My first impression is I think it has potential
I may never know because I received a private message asking me to sell it so I've got some thinking to do.........

Driveway to runway = 12 minutes and that was getting stuck at 1 traffic light

Do please listen to this warning. You think it won't happen to you, and chances are it won't. But it was really brought home to all of us at our recent F/F Nationals, when we had a major storm and one of our F1C team members was struck by lightning and killed. I was there and it took storms to a level I have never experienced before. Can't think why, but I did not see the flash, but the car physically bounced on its wheels. I felt a rush of air past both ears, as if the roof of the car bowed inwards, forcing the air down, and then the car felt as if it rebounded upwards. The noise beat anything I have ever heard before in a storm. The only reason I can think I didn't see the flash is that we were so close that it and the noise were simultaneous, and I blinked. I'm not entirely convinced but it's the best I can come up with. Remembr, it's unlikely but it can happen.
