Perhaps you could expound on the technical aspects of the shot - i.e., equipment, film, exposure details?

Some details of the model & setup would also be appreciated as well.

Unless he hit the one hour photo shop, I'd say he shot it with a digital, and since the background is blurred, he panned the camera with the plane to keep it sharp and let the background blur, hence the effect of movement. Nice shot. Those are harder to get than you would think...

I said it was a Tanager with a Thunder Tiger GP 40. There is no other set-up. The prop is a wooden 12/4. Everything stock...covered with monokote.
The pic was taken with a point and shoot Kodak DC290 Digital camera set at fill flash. I locked the focus by holding the shutter button half way down and then as the plane comes around I pan with it and depress the shutter. The result was a bit dark at first so I transferred it to Adobe Photodeluxe and brightened and added contrast. Simple process and fun result.All free! Once you own the camera and the Adobe.
