PROFILE TANK MOUNT

Simple and light and adjustable. Made from 1/16 plywood. With 1/16 ply glued on ends.
I made this mount for this metal tank or it will also mount a plastic clunk tank just by removing the rubber bands. Once the tank is in place with the rubber bands it adds stiffness to the mounting plate. It works good I have used it on my other profiles.

Very neat, Greg. I used the hooks before, but never liked them going through the fuse. Great solution. By the way, your 'nosework' is noteworthy. What kind of plane is that?

Hi Mike,
It's just another modified Cardinal. With a working air scoop to cool the engine case, not that it needs it. All for fun, it's going to have kind of a jet look to it when I'm done......Grins

Wondering what you use for your anti-vibration padding?
Do you change it after every flying session?
Does it become gummy from fresh fuel or spent fuel?

I have a piece of foam between the tank and the mount. Usually I use the foam that is sold by Tower for mounting R/C equipment, it tends to last longer and comes in different thicknesses.

Aha! Now we now the cause of your recent crash. You been using R/C foam, not C/L foam. Most surprised at needing to point this out to you.

It must of been the Temporary Insanity. I didn't think anyone would notice the two little letters RC. I consider myself spanked
