Super Tigre 35 back cover

Hi Folks,

I have a ST 35 with a pressure fitting in the back cover. I don't want to run pressure. Is there a way to block this fitting or do I have to search for a back cover?

Be careful if you do that, Super Tigre uses some strange thread sizes. They are not inch and don't seem to be metric. At least not common metric sizes. You could mix up some JB Weld and simply plug the pressure tap. JB Weld is a metal filled epoxy that dries hard. It handles heat very well. I use it to mount pressure taps on the boost port of some engines. You can actually drill and tap the material after it has cured.

If it is brass you can just wick a little solder into the fitting, best done off the motor. the solder is reversable just hold with a set of needle nose heat and tap the pliers on the edge of the work bench.

I like the simple approach. Put a BB in a short piece of medium fuel tubing and place it over the fitting.
