Using a modern engine,ie: Thunder Tigre 36 in a model like a Twister what is the 'best' way to set-up the tank? The engine was broken-in on the bench and ran well on just suction;no muffler, uniflow vent plugged,over-flow open.Should I try the first flites like this or go uniflow or muffler pressure?

On the bench, the uniflow vent should have no effect on engine run since there is virtually no change in fuel head from full to empty tank. If flight, without uniflow, the engine will get leaner as the fuel is burned down. I would suggest you start with a uniflow tank without pressure. If this isn't satisfactory, you can easily add muffler to the uniflow. I used an old Ringmaster as a test bed for my TT36 and it ran best without the muffler pressure. With this engine, the Ringmaster was more like an old slow combat airplane. Lots of power. It seemed to like the 10.5X4.5 APC prop which was the largest diameter I could fit due to ground clearance.
