A posting challenge.

This board went up around the first of July a year ago. In the first year of its operation you put up 5000 posts. Due to a limit that I was unaware of that was by defualt placed in the software, we lost some of the early posts after that limit was reached. I have since corrected that. But even with the loss of that unknown number of postings, we have now reached 8200 on November 1. I figure that if you continue to post at the present rate (or at least 30 new postings or responses a day) we will hit the next 10,000 plateau by the end of the year (or the second 5000 in a 6 month period of time.)

So, guys, if you are up to a challenge, go for it.

You have done a fantastic job with this site! I don't know how much control you exert, but I see no obnoxious posts -- controversial at times, but always a discussion among ladies and gentlemen.

You have somehow attracted newbies, retreads, and experts so that no matter how inane the question, someone has an answer. Wrong answers are politely corrected. Consideration for newbies and retreads by the experts is noted, and is a value-added part of this site. Nobody gets beat up for bad spelling, typos, or lack of knowledge!

Near as I recall, the only sleazy thing you did was post prizes for a specific numbered post, like 2000, etc. Then you claimed them all for yourself when Scott Riese clearly won one and I clearly won another. We knew you were joking all along, so no problem.

Sorry we lost some old threads. I use them, and I am sure others do also. You got that fixed, right?

I also noticed your signature is about half the size of the old one, and your posts are fewer than in the past. Stay in the mainstream, OK?

This has proven to be a great BBS, Leonard. It doesn't have the far ranging freedom that some of us feel on Isky's, but I don't think that's as important as the experience and knowledge we pick up and share here. You've done a fantastic job with the board. Keep it up...forever.

I am relatively new to this forum Leonard, but I can tell you that I much prefer this one to the other, unnamed forum I used to frequent.

Thanks for this service that you provide and I will make every effort to contribute towards your goal without wasting anyones time (I hope).

This has become my forum of choice because of the quality of the post-ers and the posts. Non-commercial, non-confrontational, and generally top-drawer in every way. There is no way we can ever repay Leonard for his efforts to make this a quality meeting place. I never would have believed that there would be a place where I could ask how-to questions of world champs? Simply terrific!
