FUEL

Has anyone noticed that some fuels foam and have fuel line bubbles more than other fuels?

I ran out of Omega 15% fuel in March. I bought some Bryan 15% fuel its the only thing he hobby shop here had. I add caster oil to get 20%. I can't get any of my engines to run right. Today I remembered they use to all run great on the Omega fuel. I spent 2 hours test starting engines one by one. All the engines will start and fun, can't get the needle to adjust right, the engine runs rich, then lean, then rich, then lean, over and over. I notice the fuel line is full of bubbly when the engine is running lean. When the bubbles clean up the engine runs rich. I tried other fuel tanks it did not help. Tried my test stand engines won't run there either. If I connect a pressure line from the muffle to the fuel tank it fixes the problem. I never had this problem with the Omega fuel. I need to try Armor All.

NOW......Get ride of the crap fuel and use SIG or Powermaster You won't have the problems. When adding armor all use four drops per gallon.

With the sssssshakers I build and fly, I always add 4 drops of Amoral per gallon. It definnatly has made a differnce for me.

I have ran Sig and had great luck but I have been running Coopers control line blends and have had great luck with the fuel .igives consistant runs jug to jug.They have all the blends we like such as 5-29 castor , 10-23 50/50 ect. http://www.cooperfuels.com/default.asp?id=20

(Not to mention the Nitro Scent.. That'd be one way to make sure everyone was using the contest fuel in F2D.. spike all the fuel with the Scent of the Day..)

According to one of those Biggles books, airplane dope tastes sweet, and ants are sometimes attracted to it. Can't remember which particular book it was.. the gang was somewhere in Peru, er, Brazil.

Scott, guys, when using Armour All, be sure to use the "Original" type. Also use an eye dropper, add one drop to the gallon jug of fuel, cap it, shake the heck out of it, let the foam subside, add one drop, repeat the shake and settle test. The add only one more drop, shake test again. Sometimes four drops can be too much. Add one drop at a time and test shake. A "drop" can have different meanings to different people, not unlike "several" or "many" or a "few'. Also four can be too many. Just a word of caution and don't ever squirt the stuff into the jug, use an eyedropper and be precise. FWIW.

No, but I've noticed that about beer...

Cooper fuel for me. No need to add armorall. Armorall is for tires, not engines......
