OK, the Worlds are done. I got the fever going and am going back to Muncie tomorrow. Here are a few shots of what I will be flying on Saturday.
Yes that is a 1960's vintage Rossi on a 48 ounce 36" wingspan model. I expect to scare the living heck out of myself on the first few flights. Heck it might be scary on all of them.

Wow! I think I need a 36" screen just to see the entire picture! Why not knock the photos down to around 640 pixels wide. The photos have been donwloading for about 5 minutes and I only have about 1/4 of the pictures. The left wingtip looks good though! Best of luck at the Nats.

Yep.

We've HAD this discussion.

Crop'em, scale'em to 600, then compress'em until the jaggies begin to show and back off.

Should run you about 20-25K and load in ones lifetime.

Plus which we could see the whole image on a laptop screen.

It's really not rocket science, folks.

If you can build a model airplane that will fly upside down, you can make an image that fits sensibly on a web page.

I knocked them down to 800 x 600. I keep forgetting about dial up modems now that I'm broadband.

Love my new Compac Presario! At 2.53GHZ it downloaded those pictures in about 3 seconds. Good luck at the Nats! Good looking plane too!

Not far enough.

Always consider a wide audience of delivery systems.

For all you know, someone will be accessing the forum soon with a cell phone.

Still too big.

At 800 across you are dominating the screen still.

I surmisethey are being served by a slow server.

I've got a full time 384 DSL and I gave up at 10 seconds on a page load that had 1/3 or less of a bunch of images on it.

The directions read 600 across.

Given the behavior of those images on my machine compared to anything else I'd be willing to wait for, I'd go to 400 by 300 and get the images to us.

They will be big enough to make your point.
