Check it out: #1 and 2 is newer version of my "Barn Door"--4" increased span, 25 sq. in. more wing, larger tail.
#3 is something I did on a lark, just to see: I call it the "Razor" for obvious reasons. 1/8" plank balsa wing with spruce LE and TE for stiffness. 30" span, 140 sq. in. Just a "play" combat thingie. (I have more pics but it wouldn't take 'em, too greedy I guess). Whatcha think?

Yeah, I thought it'd fit the name really well. It's "chrome"-plastic sheeting from 3m. Irons on just like typical plastic film.

Looks like a film cannister. There are clear cannisters with some brands of film.

If you look closely, you'll see a similar setup on the "Razor". The red plane uses a, yes, film cannister currently holding a balloon suction tank using a round party balloon. The other is a plastic flowerbud holder with a different balloon suction tank made from the finger of a latex glove. I've found the balloon tanks to be very consistent in feeding fuel. Don't "inflate" it, just leave it flaccid so there's no pressure. The partyy balloon will hold a couple of ounces without stretching, 'way more than enough for 1/2A (even for .061's); the "finger" one holds something less than an ounce (enough for .049's). No vents of course, the balloon just collapses as it empties. And it completely empties! And feeds consistently from beginning to end.
Incidentally, both containers--the cannister and the flower bud holder--also work with pressure tanks of surgical tubing when preferred. But I always use suction when testing new designs, just less trouble generally. The balloons hold up nicely for up to a few weeks; replace them for pennies. May look silly, but I subscribe to the K.I.S.S. philosophy. Works for me.
