Tubing Source?

Where can I get some of the very small diameter copper tubing to use in bushing the leadouts at the bellcrank. I checked the local cources ( Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace) and the smallest is 1/4". I believe what I need is the same stuff used for capilary (spelling?)tubes in A/C systems and pressure sensing insturments. Anybody got a reliable source for small quantity?

My local hardware and local hobby shop has K&S brass and copper tubing. I use a small punch to slightly roll the ends.

Hi Bill,

I use copper rivets. Swage them into the holes and then drill to the correct size. Best source is:

Their catalog has a TON of useful stuff for modellers.

You might also find the rivets at a model railroad shop.

Ask your ACE HW guy to restock his K&S tubing supply. That's where we get ours, here on the Space Coast.

If the local Ace Hardware store in Huntsville, ALabama carries K&S tubing and sheet metal, then any Ace Hardware should have it. Thaht's where I get my copper and brass tubing. The local RC Hobbies also carries it.

I checked WWW.MCMASTER.COM and the smallest copper tube they had was: 1/8 O.D. X .061 I.D. .032 WALL.

I picked mine up at Home Depot.

It was a bit cheaper than my LHS and they wer'nt out of anything. What a suprise!
