After seeing the recent pics of the worn pushrod hole in the stock bellcrank from an ARF Nobler I decided to listen to everyone and redo the control system on my Flite Streak before I flew it.
I got one of my Perfect Large Bellcranks out of the stash and was pleased to see it was almost an exact match for the installed one. The only mod I had to perform to use it was a brass tubing bushing in the middle of the bearing, the Top Flite unit uses a smaller dia. bolt. I didn't want to cut into the bottom of the wing to replace the nut so I could use the Perfect bolt /nut.
I used 1/8" copper tubing to bush the new leadouts at the bellcrank, and drilled the pushrod hole to accept a stainless steel bushing. The bushing I used is a fishing leader crimp made by "Malin" for 40-60 lb. test stainless steel fishing leaders. Check your local sporting goods store ( Bass Pro Shop here in Orlando)for # M5S crimps .071 ID. I drilled the hole for the bushing to be a light press fit, the put a drop of CA on each side to lock it in. It protrudes about .010" on the bottom, to give the CA a lip to grap.
I cut the old leadouts at the bellcrank and used CA to glue the free end ot the new ones to them. I gently pulled the old ones out through the wingtip and the new ones followed through no problem. Installed the pushrod, tightened up the mounting bolt and everything works smooth as silk. Total time about 1 1/2 hour and $3.00 in parts.
Everything I did I borrowed from other posts on this board, thanks to every one for youe continous help and feedback. Here is a pic of the new stuff with the original bellcrank in the background.

If it's broke, fix it.
