K&B polyester finishing resin alternative?

I've been using K&B polyester for the last 25 years and really don't want to go to the epoxy finishing resins. Can anyone tell me if the K&B polyester resin is available anymore. I realize that K&B has been taken over by Mecoa. But I can't get any hits from any of the Hobby suppliers for the Finishing resin. Has this line gone.

I bought some finishing resin from a local supplier and it's useless in comparison to the K&B formulae.

It just doesn't seem to cure properly, glass hard in spots and tacky in others and this is over virgin balsa. It doesn't sand like it either, it's much much harder.

I'm sure that it must have been made by some other major resin supplier and labelled by K&B or did they actually make it in house, in which case I guess it's gone forever! does anyone have any info on it as I'd really like to get hold of some.

Should have checked resin only at Tower, came up with Sig resin. Can anyone tell me if it's as good as the K&B, I'd guess it would be pretty good.

I used the #83 (waxed) After curing the wax sands off and the surface will take paint.
