Well we made it to our first NAT’s. There was much to see. I want to thank Dale Gleason for letting us help him in the pit area at the Carrier event. Super nice guy. The boys and I watched a little of each Control Line event. We did drive around to the R/C races and R/C stunt. The one thing I did notice at the R/C stunt area there were a lot of large planes sitting on the ground, but they all looked to be the same model, just different paint. And my guess is that most of them were ARF’s.
Here are a few pictures from Stunt.
(I know the 55 Chevy is not a plane but if you look real close there is a plane in the back seat)

I remember I got severely teased for calling it "RC Stunt" on Usenet years and years ago..

(I think they like calling it "RC Pattern"..)

Yup.. most of those planes are ARFs these days.

Did you get to do any flying? Any interesting stuff for sale? In years past, Bob Bearden would set up tables near the Combat circles and sell all the little doodads you need for Control Line (connectors, lines, syringes, etc.)

We did not bring our planes. We went to see the best of the best. And to show the boys what they could set there sites on. Lots of talking on the way home. Might see them there in a few years giving Rob G. a run for his spot. That young man can fly!

We have more pics and will try and post them. Some are on 35mm and I will have to find a scanner.

When you get the 35mm developed, check the box for a CD, in addition to the usual negatives. It's usually about $6, but by the time you get done messing with a scanner, it's $6 well spent, and quality is 100% as good as prints. Thanks for posting the pictures.
