Another Firebaby Question

Duh,

My Firebaby Bipe is missing the Bipe instructons, does anyone know what the strut positioning is? I could just stick them in there but I'd like them close. Suppose I could look up a picture but maybe someone can help me out here.

BTY, I've mounted the Firecracker as per the instruction sheet. You'd be amazed how stout the mounting is. The bolt goes through a thick aluminum washer, the wing bracket and the firewall, its very stiff, no worries there.

JUST have fun. AS for the puttogethersheet I don't have...sorry

This is all *my* fault. I got him to come out and play in his back yard, and now look what he's up to!

Yeah, and I'll probably regret it too knowing what this thing would bring on Ebay. But, I originally bought it with the intention of flying it so what the heck, they're no fun in the box anyway.

P.P.S. What are you going to do for fuel proofing? I can just imagine what nitro is going to do to the (old) finish on it. BTW the Minwax spray urethane did a pretty fair repair to the nitro damage on my Swordsman.

I wanted a Firebaby biplane when I was a kid but never could find one. I even had the 10 bucks.
While at the Nats I spent an afternoon at the AMA Library and read through old mags. It was in Air Trails or American Modeler about 1956-7 that I found an article on the Firebaby bipe. It showed the strut required to attach the second wing. I copied it. When I get home and unpacked, I'll dig it out and send you a copy. Are you in Pampa? If not, send me your address and I'll send it to you. Don't know if its full size but you can scale it.
I'll try to scan it and post here if I can.

When I was a kid, I flew the rubber powered A J Hornet (49 cents). Somehow, I got it in my head that the Firebaby bipe was another rubber powered A J offering, sort of a two wing Hornet. I dragged my parents through a number of stores in Washington DC, looking for this Lost Ark. Currell
