Dodge/plymouth minivan model rack

Hi all, I was inspired by Dan Rutherford's model rack that he had in his van at the Vancouver contest last year so I finally got aroung to building a minivan size one. It can hold 3 models, on the top rack I can fit my Legacy or my Pathfinder on the middle rack goes my Trivial Pursuit, and the bottom fits my Olympic.
I'll add a pic of the rack loaded with models later this weekend.

Hmmmmmm, Wonder if I could make a double slide out rack for my camper? I just made a quicky rack last Sunday, but like yours much better. Thanks for the pics. Lee

I was also impressed with Dan's mini-van. Not so much the model rack, but I enjoyed checking out the rust, which went all the way up to the luggage rack on top.

While rusty in numerous spots, my beloved 1977 Ford van is most definitely not a mini-van. Full-sized van, what was then called the long wheelbase version.

And there is no luggage rack, both these and mini-vans in general being much too, well, this thought best completed when we next meet.

Mr. Dan. I guess I was in error about the luggage rack, but the rust was impressive! And only a 1977 to boot!!!! (exclamations mine).

I dearly love old cars, but yours doesn't seem to be old enough to love. Not right now, anyway. Perhaps Brett will remember my fully restored 1963 Mercedes-Benz which I drove to the Lockheed parking lot every day for several years. That beautiful machine met a sad end. I neglected to replace a water pump which had a slow leak. Instead, I just added hose water and no Prestone. In the winter of 1988, Los Altos suffered a hard freeze down to 15 F., and so the engine froze and cracked the block. To add insult to injury, the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake caused extensive damage to our house, and also cracked the concrete driveway. Unknown to me, my lovely wife had pavement contractors coming in a week to replace the driveway. The MBZ, unable to run, had to go, and so I sold it for a pittance. (the new owner replaced the engine, which makes me sort of happy).

Got my rack built for my Dodge pick em up camper. It works very well. I installed the dowells at 10 degrees and used the a/c line insulators. I gave it the ole test Sunday, with no extra hold down straps, and nothing moved at all. I did travel some winding roads and some rough ones too. Mine will hold 6 full size 54"ws stunters.
