It sounds like a good place to start. You didn't mention the plane, so that may matter. I assume it is a typical 35-40 size plane (Nobler, Twister, Chipmunk, Oriental....

Many years ago we had a guy show up at our site with a 35 powered Goldberg Shoestring Stunter profile - and a set of .021" x 70' lines!
We loaned him a set of the proper sized lines. No matter, he snagged one on a weed taking off, ship came across the circle and yanked the handle out of his hand when it hit the other side. Free flighted and crashed just before it would have smacked into a commercial building.
