Scott:
The word that I get is that Randolph moved from New Jersey to Mass. Then they were purchased by another company. The formulation is the same, but the plant stands up to EPA scrutiny a little (lot?) better.

I believed that John Groused about shipping costs and some minumum quantity requirements, and the new folks suggested that John mix his own.....he is setting up yet another building devoted to paint....Randolph sends the bases requires, and the raw pigment in drums, and John will have a fancy mixer.

He mentioned that it would be a better deal for him because he could control quantities on hand.

That's what I understand.

See Ya

Sounds like a "Win Win" for everyone including the environment. Nothing wrong with that!

Poly Fiber (Stits) bought Randolph and Ceconite a while back. The Ceconite process uses dope so it made sence for Poly Fiber to buy the dope mfg section of Randolph. These are full size aircraft fabric recovering processes and I am sure the model airplane quainities are very small.I think I was a smart business deal to do what they have done. I hope John gets enough sales to make work for him (and us).
