What I precive to be true and correct is for me and maybe not for you. But if we all thought the same way we would have never gone to the moon. Everything I write here is my opinion you do with it what you want.One thing I have noticed is that the topics I write on(be it a sore spot or not) Get more play than most..

I thought this forum was for the advacement of model aircraft. You will see I never slam someone elses thoughts. I have more class than that. If it seems that I answer questions in the wrong tone thats the keyboard not me. So take it for what is worth.

Perception can be a trap. There is truth based on facts, empirical evidence and consistent results. Then there is wishful thinking. The problem is when one cannot tell the difference between truth and perception or wishful thinking. In the world that I work in that failure to know truth is called "Drinking your own bathwater." Those who avoid believing their own press releases and make the effort to stay with truth or theory based on facts, observation and empirical evidence have the fewest problems in the black and white world of aviation. Aviation, even model aviation, is very black and white, with very little gray.

Yes. America is a grest country, in part because anyone can say anything they want, no matter how ridiculous, and the government can't stop them (ref. Democratic National Convention, Michael Moore). The same applies to responses to ridicuous statements.

Of course, this is a private forum and the proprieter can decide what to allow and what not to allow. The First Amendment does not apply to private enterprise

On objective matters, if we think differently, one of us is wrong. Not a debatable point. On a matter of opinion, we could both be right, wrong, or somewhere in between.

For instance, if you make a statement like "combat planes turn tighter because..." then that is an objective statement, and depending on the ..., can be right or wrong. It might have multiple aspects, but it's not a matter of opinion.

Alternately, if you say "I think I will score more points if I ...", then there can be differing opinions about that, legitimately. But you must base those opinions on something, and it's perfectly resonable and to be expected that if that opinion is at variance with someone else, or general wisdom, that someone may inquire as to your basis for having it.

Free expression is fine - but uni-directional declarations are really *not* what "free exchange of ideas means" I don't think anyone objects to your opinion. I for one am curious to explore your concepts. But you aren't interacting - when someone asks a question, you belittle them or make spurious references to other people. If you have an opinion, be able to explain why you hold that opinion. No one is going to pay any attention to you otherwise, aside from getting irritated.

Right, trolling can be quite effective for catching fish.

Many of the frequent posters here know more about this event in every aspect, than you do - far more. You have no detectable history in this event, and simply mouthing off and talking down to people who do will get you categorized as a net.kook very quickly. Search the archives for references to "FUBAR", "FloydC" and "PauleyP" for examples. These guys all had something useful to contribute (well, maybe not Floyd) but couldn't get past the tendency to "cover" their weak points by browbeating people and complaining about their "rights" when challenged to provide a basis, and generally conducting themselves like the output end of a horse.

You're well down that road, but not irretrievably.

By the way the experiment with the carbon fiber is lighter by 1 oz Don't know if it's a combination of wood ,glue or CF. But I stand corrected. Thanks Randy Smith..

Sad....Brett's post was not meant to be humorous. It was meant as constructive criticism that we all might be in tune to a communication exchange that would benefit all who are here. It wasn't even meant to degrade or harm. It was quite factual and to the point. It appears some of us are on transmit and are never on receive. That's when the communication stops. Posting here is more about sharing and being helpful to others and not so much about who's right and who's wrong.

Relax dude! The last time I checked, most of the guys hanging out in this place, were here to have a good time!

You might want to give some thought to the fact, that this web site is an open forum, dedicated to the idea that we have should a place at which to exchange information and ideas about our toy airplanes.

We have plenty of heated discussions and even the occasional ham-fisted argument about what we do, how things work and what it all means. That's par for the course. Most of us have learned to live with replies to our posts that range from complete acceptance and open discussion, to complete skepticism or worse.

I've noticed that far more people are interested in what you're doing and hoping to learn something from your experiments, than are trashing them.

In fact, there are several of our more learned breatheren, who appear to be bending over backwards not to take offense to your rather cranky attitude and are attempting to add their hard won experiences to your data bank.

Please... Assuming that you came here with the idea of contributing along with rest of us, drop the defensive attitude and learn to PARTICIPATE and SHARE. (Thats when information flows in both directions.) Otherwise you may find yourself in the position where no one here really cares.

Having the right to say something does not necessarily carry with it the privelege of being the bearer of the one true word.Many on this forum would be taken a lot more seriously if they would take the time to learn to use proper spelling,grammar,and,especially,syntax.

Perceptions have little or nothing to do with truth.The farther you get from objective fact,and the closer to subjective "belief",The farther you get from science and engineering.There's nothing wrong with "out of the box" thinking,but you have to recognize it as such and do your homework,with demonstrable results,if you want it to be taken seriously.We would never have gone to the moon if every one involved worked on his own "perception" of how Space vehicles worked,and without considering ALL the facts available to him.

This forum IS for the advancement of model aircraft.Blaming the keyboard for your lack of understanding of basic principles is nothing short of ridiculous!READ A BOOK.An odd speculation is not a theory.A Set of odd thoughts is not a hypothesis.Hypotheses are not theories.and theories are not physical laws.
