Most of the shots were taken in San Diego. The shot of the red biplane was taken in Camarillo, CA, just north of me. At that show, they had 40's swing style music played by guys who actually played the music back then! It was very nice. I hesitated in posting them, because, the actual shots are razor sharp, but my feeling is that some contribution is better than none.

The middle Stewardess seems to be ready to draw her six guns! LOL!

Kermit Weeks has a very nice facility here in central Florida. He's an ex-aerobatic pilot that inherited mucho. So almost all the planes in his museum /airfield are restored, certified and flight worthy. See just a small example of all his planes below, Drool.....

And to keep this Stunt related, I inquired with his staff once about holding a contest there, and they were not disgusted by the idea. They said contests ( R/C ???) were held there long ago. Anyone remember that?

I pumped gas at Tallmantz Aviation while in high school and college. I sat on the wing of that very Mustang eating on my lunch break, dreaming about how it won the 1948 Bendix Throphy Race with Paul Mantz at the helm. It sure is a far cry from the exfoliating, corroded hulk it was then.
I still wish Kermit had restored it to it's racing configuation and colors, it was much more famous as a Mantz racer.

Are you sure those weren't exclusively taken at The Museum of Flying in Santa Monica? I live near there and took my wife on a regular basis so she could get her Mustang, Spitfire, Hurricane, Zero, fix. David Price had a messy divorce and had to sell off the fighters in some form or another to satisfy the decree. The museum is now disbanded, though some of the ships are seen in SoCal still at various airshows having been bought by locals.

The Douglas World Cruiser is at Hawthorne Airport at the Western Aviation Museum.

You guys have got to teach me how you obey the 50k rule and still keep your shots so sharp. Man-o-man, divorce can be messy. I am so sorry to hear about the museum being disbanded. Remind me to sign a prenup if I ever get married again stating that, she cannot have my Saito 72!! Also, I really need my drill press, and I can't do jack without my table saw and!!!
