If 15 cc didn't pass FAI, and the AMA proposal justification was for continuity with FAI, .....should we (AMA) proceed on with 15cc engines?

We're looking at a 50% increase in displacement! ...with no practical experience with these engines.

Frank...I don't know what you have against this...we grew up with these motors in our Whizzer motorbikes....

The last I heard is that the FAI change proposal to increase the engine size limit from 10cc to 15cc will be adopted by the FAI and will appear in the 2005 FAI rulebook.

I'm all for AMA and FAI being in sync ... I think there are many advantages to this ... I don't have any good understanding of the FAI rules process ...
... still a little concerned about 15cc ... but, ... Tower has the ST 91 on sale for $129.95.

Probably too heavy.

I expect the Double Star/Retro/whoever makes the Brodak .40 etc. people will come up with a "Fox .90 Stunt". Huge prop turning 7000 RPM, rich 4 cycle and leaving a huge cloud of smoke heading downwind..

I looked at some obvious sources, but as far as I could tell the most recent revisions to the rules (by the FAI mystery process) seemed to indicate that the 15cc rule was still going forward. That's not at all definitive. Based on recent experience, I wouldn't make any assumptions as to the content of the rules until they are published and in your hand.
