MCLS Carolina Fox Racing Rules
1.. Only stock production Fox 35 stunt engines will be allowed, no modifications to port timing, exhaust area, intake area or removal of any material from any part of engine . No hemi heads, No stuffer back plates etc. It is OK to change Needle Valve Assembly with aftermarket or other brand. No needle valve assembly with a smaller diameter than the standard Production Fox 35 assembly will be allowed.
2.. Tongue mufflers are allowed , no tuned pipes or performance enhancing exhaust systems allowed. Open exhaust will be allowed, no shaving of exhaust area in any way will be allowed..
3.. A Non Pressurized fuel tank mounted on outboard side of model fuselage , tank must operate on venturi suction alone, Tank not to be inletted into the fuselage in any manner. Of no more than 2.0 fl oz of fuel capacity.. Max Dia fuel hard line to be 1/8 inch at all outlets of tank. Std or Uniflow venting allowed,
4.. Planes that are allowed are , Sig Skyray 35, Goldberg Shoestring 35, Goldberg Cosmic Wind 35, Goldberg Buster 35, Top Flite ARF Flight Streak, *Brodak Buster 35, *Brodak Shoestring 35(*When Available) . These or the accurate reproduction of these kits are acceptable as long as the wing area and airfoil is consistant with original design..
5.. No Hot Gloves allowed, No Fast Fills, No Fuel Shutoffs of any type , Landing gear can be changed to dural gear on Skyray or Flite Streak , No minimum wheel size.
6… Heat races will be flown at least two up , Timing starts combat style, with starter giving signal to start engines, A set number of minimum pit stops will be given during pilots meeting . Number of laps will be decided by Race Director before the pilots meeting. Engines will be hand started unless otherwise discussed and arranged in pilots meeting.
6 A..Previous races have been 50 lap heat races with one ,mandatory pit stop. Main event has been 100 lap with three mandatory pit stops ..
7.. Lines will be .015 seven strand s/s/ flying wires . The measurements will be 52 feet , measured from centerline of flying handle to the centerline of model entered into competition. All models will be tested in a Go, No Go , Box to determine legality of line length. Line length will have a tolerance of (+ - 6 inches). Safety thongs will be required.
8.. All Fuel used in competition will be provided by Event director , 10 % nitro, 25 % All Castor Fuel ( Sig )

Hello All,
Just a heads up on a couple of changes to the fox racing event at our june contest. A couple of new planes have been added to eligible list ,
This is a fun event , and a good way for novice racers to get some time in the circle with other pilots,,
heat races = 60 laps , 2 mandatory pit stops.
Main races = 100 laps , 3 mandatory pit stops .
