The 2005 King Orange International is scheduled for Jan. 14-16 at the U. S. Navy's Whitehouse Field in Jacksonville, Florida (same as recent years).
Friday the 14th, the field will be open for practice from noon until 6:00 PM. Saturday will be Basic Stunt, OTS, Classic and Profile. Sunday will be the PAMPA classes and the fly-off for the KOI perpetual trophy.
There will be no appearance points awarded in any event and the BOM rule will not apply. There will be a Pilot's Choice Award for the best appearing airplane. The airplane must make at least one official flight on Sat. or Sun. to be eligible.
AMA line length rules will be enforced.
No overnight camping permitted and nothing may be left on the site overnight. We will have hot dogs, chilli, soda and coffee for sale.

We will add motel information as soon as we get it gathered up. There is a new motel under construction (don't know the brand yet) at the intersection of I10 and Chaffee Rd., which is much closer to the field that the other motels. Hopefully, it will be open in time for the KOI.
To get to the site, take Chaffee Rd. off I10 (a few miles west of Jacksonville). Go north on Chaffee to Beaver St. Turn west (left) on Beaver and go to Halsema Rd. Turn north (right) on Halsema and keep going until you go through a gate onto the Whitehouse Field property. When you clear the trees, look to the left and you will see where the contest is set up. There will be signs posted beginning at I10 and Chaffee.
