The 2007 edition of the King Orange Internationals will be held on March 30th, 31st and April 1st in Starke, Florida (NOTE: Date has changed from previous years).
The site is the Bradford County Fairgrounds on Highway 301 (N. Temple Ave.) just on the east edge of Starke (same site as last KOI). There will two smooth paved circles and a grass area (mowed very short) large enough for several circles. Both paved circles and at least one grass circle will be used for official flights both competition days.
Saturday events will include Basic Stunt, Old Time, Classic and Profile Stunt. Sunday will have Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert and the KOI fly-off for the perpetual trophy.
Entry fees will be $15.00 for the first event, $10.00 for the second and $5.00 for any additional events flown. BOM will not apply and no appearance points will be given. There will be a Pilot’s Choice award for the best appearing model.

Of course, proof of current AMA membership is required. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the site at any time.
The AMA maximum line length of 70' from the centerline of the fuse to the handle will be enforced. If your lines are too long you will not be allowed to use them. Pull tests will also be conducted.
The local Boy Scouts will have concessions open. The menu will include hamburgers, hot dogs and the like. There are also numerous eating establishments very nearby.
We will have the use of the exhibit building (same as last year) with restrooms and plenty of room to get indoors if the weather is chilly or wet. Vendors may also set up indoors if they desire. There is also a second restroom building on site.
We will have the use of 15 motor home parking sites on the fairgrounds with electric and water hookup. There is no dump station on site. The cost will be $20.00 per night. Please let me know at least two weeks ahead if you want a motor home site.
Starke is located about 30 minutes southwest of the former KOI site at Whitehouse Field. It is easily accessible off I-95, I-75 or I-10.
