At the bottom right of each message there is a series of user options like this:

Printer-friendly page | Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Clicking the Printer-friendly page gives you an easier to print version of what you read. Clicking edit is open only to the original poster or myself. Due to past abuse, the edit option is only open for 2 days. Usually you see your "goofs" in that time and can go back and correct. (I can edit as long as I want). "Top" takes you back to the top.

So the two you are after are "Reply" and "Reply With Quote".
If you click "Reply" it will bring up a dialogue box into which you can type your message. Then there is an "attachment" option below this which you can use to attach pictures or whatever, plus a "Preview" button with which you can preview what will be posted and a "post message" button. When you have completed your message to your satisfaction, just click on the "post message" button and up it will go.

If you message will simply follow another, sometimes clicking the "reply" is good enough. If you click on "Reply with quote", it will fill the box with the original post which makes it easier to follow the sequence in some situations. You will notice when reading messages that some will have the quote included and some won't. Sometimes it just clutters things up. And sometimes it makes it easier to read.
