If you can't log in

Unfortunately the userbase got damaged when the server went down for the second time yesterday. If you find that you are logged off and merely can't remember your password, the forum will issue you a new one when you attempt to log in. If it does not recognize your user name, you will need to register again. Just register with the name you had been using before (preferably you first and last name). Then log in, go to the user_menu at the top of the forum and update your profile and preferences.

If you need help, e-mail me with your full name and e-mail address and I will set you up. But I do need your e-mail. If you send me your city and state I can also fill out the basics of your profile for you.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but through a generous offer from one of the participants, it looks like we will be able to set up a mirror server for the site to prevent any loss of data in the future.

Since the crash I am unable to log in. You have told me my new code (doesnt work) When I enter my name the code box fills up with dots but it wont let me use these cause it says "incorrect code" If I try to delete these dots always one remains and either code gets refused. What am I doing wrong? my email is Help Keith

I shall reply here for others' benefit. When I set up your account, I used your old username but changed the password. You have chosen to let windows remember your password which is the old one, and that is why it does not work. When you attempt to log in, just left click on the log in space. Windows will come up with a list of names, one of which should be your user name of kvarley. Scan down to it and then click the delete key on your keyboard. A message will then come up asking if you wish to delete the username and password. Click "yes" and it will delete it. Now, reenter the username and password, and when it asks you if you wish windows to remember this password click "yes" if you wish to keep the password I issued you, "no" if you wish to change it.

Once you have logged in, you can change the password at any time by going to the user_menu at the top and change the password there.

I've tried several times to reply to a subject matter, but I can not log in.

Apparently you have a pop up blocker or a firewall that is preventing you from registering. I have set up an account for you and sent you the information by e-mail. If you do not get it (I am still having trouble with a lot of my outgoing e-mail), let me know and I will relay the information through Matt.

The problem you mentioned comes about because there is a user agreement that pops up, and if you have a pop up eliminator or (sometimes a firewall) installed it keeps this from activating. You can normally disable the pop up eliminator or hold down the shift key while attempting to log in.

I can't find an account for you. You will either have to register (again) or simply send me an e-mail with your desired user name and password and I will set it up for you.

I can't log on. My computer died overnight and I wonder if it has to do with that. The forum recognized it as staying logged on. I'm on my wife's computer now. I had the system generate a new password, but it didn't help. Sorry for the trouble. Len, your forum is addicting, and I am having the shakes!!!

I got it to work on my son's computer. I think there must be something in the security setup on my wife's computer that the forum doesn't like. Don't think it is your problem. Thanks.

You need to allow cookies for the forum to be able to recognize you and stay logged on. Sometimes that is not activated or there is a firewall that prevents the forum from talking to you. You can set the firewall to accept the forum (clstunt.com) or can turn it off for the time that you use the forum.

I couldn't log in for a while, then I figured out it was a MOZILLA problem. I am moving to MOZILLA from Netscape. Once I log on using Netscape, MOZILLA will work too. If I should ever log off, I will have to use Netscape to log on.

That is interesting. I will pass on the inoformation and see what we can do.

Oh, and I reset your password to correct your problem that you mentioned by e-mail. Post back and see if that makes any difference.

You were not logged on when you made this post. If you can't log on, go to your cookies and delete all cookies for clstunt.com and www.clstunt.com and then try loggin on again. It may be a cookie problem.

hi leonard... tried to register but can´t write the arroba sign in my e-mail...goes to the top of page every time I tried to do.

If you have a problem I am guessing you either have a pop-up blocker or a firewall that is preventing your getting in. Either disable these to register, or send me an e-mail @clstunt.com with your full name, desired user name, city and state, and I will set you up.

I am sure that you are right and it is a pop-up related problem but I have turned off all the pop-up blocking stuff and still have the same problem. I look after another discussion list that uses the same forum software (dcboard) and I have checked that I can register on that forum. http://www.prodesktop.net">Prodesktop it is a user support forum of the PTC Prodesktop CAD software. When I test it a new page opens in the browser not a pop-up so it may be a settings thing.

Anyway if you could set me up then I can boast of my plan built Jay Dee Falcon <G>

Actually, this is what is called a "hack". I have asked the software author but will also ask here as well. It is a matter of changing the code in the software which is something I want to do because of this problem anyway. And, for the record, the PHP version, which we will be changing to whenever they get their new 2.0 versin written, does have this change made. Pop-ups will soon be a thing of the past as everyone is going to blockers.
