Hi Leonard, I know it's a small thing, but the number of posts displayed under each username in a post does not seem to be incrementing properly. I've been stuck on 140 for 6 months. I noticed that you incremented only 4 posts, from 5781 to 5785 since April. Most other members seem to have the same problem. A scripting error perhaps? Just curious.

I hadn't noticed that but we will check it out. Probably a corrupted file.

Interesting, but as I posted the above reply and this one as well, my number of posts is going up.

That's strange, I see the same number on both of your posts here.
The number of posts that I am credited with making is also "slightly" out of whack! I doubt that I have even written a hundred posts in total. Not that it makes any difference to me, but maybe this will help you to figure out what or where the problem is.
Cheers!

RE: and the answer is...#5 source
The number you see is the cumulative number of posts registered in the software. It goes up one each time you post and if you return to an older post it will reflect the new number there as well. This is why the numbers appear to not be changing. They actually are changing, but will change on every post you make. (Thus you don't have a "first post I ever made", "this is my hundredth post", etc.

Now, as to why you got a high number to start with, I do believe that is a glitch.
