Wanted- tongue mufflers-Fox 35s

I've been away from flying c/l for 40 years so just to make sure I'm not asking for the wrong thing...what I've got is two old Fox 35s, one has a lug on each side of the exhaust port,they look to weak to bolt a muffler tho? The other one has no lugs so I'm sure that needs a strap on muffler.

Hi Ray. I use the tongue muffler for the Max 35 for the lugged Fox. It lines up just right. Hope this helps.

Ray, For the version without the ears. a Mr. Jan Holuszko makes a strap attaching clamp that is the best I have ever seen. It butts up against the back side of the exhaust stack (where the ears were added on the later versions) and will hold to just about any muffler that will fit any of the Fox 35s. He gets $5.00 per strap, but is well worth it, as you cannot warp the case using that method of strap on. Thanks for the info Larry and Bigiron. I'll get one of those straps just to keep in the flite box for field use. Thanks for letting me know an OS tongue will work also Larry:)
