BERKLEY P-40 WARHAWK KIT

I have a berkley p-40 warhawk kit number 10-1
I belive this kit is from the 50's. It is in pristine condition the contents have never been removed from the box. It has a picture of Bill Elliot on the box and says it was designed by him. It is for 19-35 engine and 45" wingspan. I would like $300.00 which includes shipping any where in the U.S.A. except Alaska or Hawaii.

Your price seems pretty reasonable considering the sale (?) prices of the last two of these that have appeared on eBay. They sold for $355.00 on 10/14/03 and $306.99 on 10/04/03. It might interest you to know that of the eight examples I've seen sold via eBay over the last four years the average price is $255.38.

Good luck. You may find the buyer you're seeking here. If I read the forum correctly, though, most who frequent here would probasbly want a plane to build and fly, and, therefore, would probably buy plans from any of a number of sources (including this forum's host!!) and scratchbuild the plane from those.

I suspect your best bet to get your price is still going to be eBay, assuming that you have not already received an offer.

P-40 Story

A few years ago, I bought several kits at a swap meet for $75.00 One was a SIG P-40.

Berkley, Fox and SIG kitted the P-40. The SIG P-40 was identical to the Berkley and Fox p-40, except that it had a plastic, rather than metal cowl.

Anyway, I put the SIG P-40 on ebay hoping to get $50.00 for it. It sold for $217.00 to a guy in Hawaii! Whoad'a thunk it?

All my ebay deals didn't go this well, though.
