Wanted--Berkeley P-40 Stunter Kit

Seeking to purchase original Berkeley P-40 Stunter Kit for computerless friend who wishes nostalgia trip with the old first
"big plane" of his youth. Hopefully, he will get more than one flight with the new one. Thank you.

Is this the "Black Tiger" P-40? I believe the plans are available from Flying Models and other sources. As too a kit, why?? Unless he is a collector.

Ty, actually he is not a collector and does have a copy of the
Berkeley P-40 Stunter (aka Black Tiger) plans. He has made up a
mold from a cast of the cowling off of a built one and has
laid up a couple of fibreglass cowls. He wants the original
kit for the tin cowl as much as anything. He wants to desicrate
the kit and actually build it(the nerve of him...).

Would anyone have an extra tin cowl from the Berkeley P-40
Stunter kit? That would probably be less expensive than his
buying what would appear to be a very desirable and valuable kit.

True, there are other and better than Berkeley P-40's out there.

You might keep your eyes open at the 'Bay for one, although they bring quite a bit there.

This is Pat Johnston's design, not the Berkley P-40. Pat's is larger and definitely different.

Have a set of the P-40 or Quest metal cowling. Was going to list on ebay, but can't put in a picture right now.

I've got the Sig P-40 partially built. Got a plastic cowl and full size plans if your friend is interested. This IS the
"Black Tiger" P-40 that Sig bought out from Berkeley as well as several other C/L kits. Let me know if he is interested.

A guy brought one out to our Detroit RC Club field Fun Fly recently. Nice model. Didn't fly it.

Crummy kit, though (the Berkeley).
