Muffler needed#0 source
LAST EDITED ON May-21-02 AT 11:30 PM (CST)

I need a muffler for a .35 OS Max III. Will buy bones engine for parts to get the muffler if the price is right.

5/22/02 A friend informed me that mufflers were not made for the OS Max III but later strap-on mufflers were made for the OS Max S's and Max H's. He said these will fit the Max III. If anyone has one of these they want to get rid of let me know price and shipping charges.

Thanks,
Mel

Mel;

I may be wrong on this, but I don't think that OS made the Max-III with a muffler. In fact, the early Max-S 35s which came after the Max-III were not set up for mufflers and had the exhaust baffle linked to the throttle.

If I am correct, you may have to go with an aftermarket product.

The Max III's had an exhaust attachment for RC which was linked to the throttle. It was a steel cylendar which rotated as the throttle was rotated. Are you looking for a muffler or an exhaust restrictor? You can get a strap on muffler from Big Art Admissin if this is what you want. Also OS had a clamb shell type muffler early on but these are scarse. Swap meets are the best places for these rare parts. You may also try MECA.
