I have a Jr. Nobler kit if you're interested in using it to repro the kit. It is a .15 to .25 size model, not a 1/2A. Let me know what you are looking for.

Bud, The problem with the Jr Nobler is that it isn't a 1/2A ship. It really was designed around the old Fox steel fin 15. Perhaps todays 049's might put out the same power but not on a prop that you could use on this plane. No I wouldn't use a Norvel 074 either perhaps an OS10 FP would do but then it's not a 1/2A anymore is it.

What you want, is to get a Green-Box Nobler kit or plans, and scale it down 65%. Then you can power it with a Norvel .049 and be a happy man. I have one like that built by Don Butman, and it is a gem.

Scale the wood sizes down with the plan, and you will be more than strong enough. In fact, you can usually go to the next smaller wood size and still be in fine shape!

For planes in RSMs catalog, I think you can call up Eric Rule, and he can cut you a scaled down kit, as his laser cutter is a marvelous device! Any that he is currently laser cutting are easy for him to scale however you want! Woah, how about a 150% size Pinto, and then rename it "Oriental"? Naaah, who would want it?

Ahh ok. I saw a completed one for sale with an .049 on it was a 1/2a scale.
I emailed the guy and he said it was a top flite model.
Must have been one someone scaled down.
Guess Ill have to scale one down and scratch build.

Then again with the arf Nobler selling so good it may only be a matter of time till someone kits a 1/2a version again. I just cant bring myself to build a profile one as it just dont look right.

This is the one I missed. Pretty sweet looking. Its cox .049 powered.

I think that is the cutest little plane I ever saw.

I'd love to get a kit if they ever become available.

I have a Green box Jr. Nobler and have the capabilities through CAD (work) and the newer large format photocopiers out there to scale down and print out a set of plans for you. Whatever is shown on the originals full size (I'd have to check to see, but I think I remember that they WERE full size plans) would be correct for using as templates. The cost would be minimal to me and its something I may be able to sell elsewhere, too. Just let me know if the persentage mentioned is the correct one and I'll do it for the cost to ship it to you plus a buck or two for the printing cost (I get it done CHEAP). I may have to build one myself.

I'd REALLY like to do a little I-Beam ARES, wouldn't that be cute!

That little 1/2A Nobler is wonderful. The trim, the paint, the very idea of it.

At the George Aldrich plan collection auction at the last VSC, there were a number of 1/2A plans for all, or most of, his designs. I think there were two different sizes of 1/2A Noblers. I got only a Baby Flitestreak plan, so the rest are out there somewhere.

I was told by the person who sold the above plane that it was actualy built from a kit. Other than a Ringmaster Jr all my other planes are only 1/2a. The Jr Ringmaster I just got of ebay I purchased for sentimental reason as a Jr Ringmaster was my very first control line plane I ever owned plus that fact that itll just look cool next to my Baby Ringmaster. I am allways looking for built up fuse 1/2a planes. The profile planes are OK but they just dont have the look of a control line plane with a full fuse and cowled in engine. On the subject of 1/2a full fuse planes. I am purchasing a rear exhaust 1/2a engine and am looking for a Stunt plane that has an reaer exhaust engine and enclosed tuned pipe to scale down for the 1/2a engine if anyone can think of any that would be a good canidate.

No such animal in any variety of normal circulation. The "Stork" could've been modified to look more like a Nobler, though.

I have a copy of plans from an old MAN of a 1/2A stunter that is a close copy of the Ares. It's the wee hours of the AM and I can't recall the name of it right now, but it is really cute. Swap you a copy for a copy of the Jr Nobler plans.

I have Jr. Nobler plans and Original Nobler Plans by George Aldrich. Plans are an exact copy of each piece of wood in the Top Flite Green box.

I also have a Jr. Nobler kit I will sell. I paid $75.00 for the kit on ebay last winter. The Jr. Nobler plans were made from this kit. I copied it exactly.

I have some Nobler 1/2a plans. 24" wing span.

I built one with a Norvel engine.

Don't forget - anyone that want's a Jr Nobler (not 1/2a) to build rather than collect that Tony Cincotta at Saturn Models does a nice hand cut version with good wood....

There are a couple of Saturn distributors here in the States that I contacted and even they could not get a kit. Far as I'm concerend they can shove the things.

speaking as a Brit/Aussie all I can say is that Tony Cincotta ( Mr Saturn )has had a LOT of personal problems for a couple of years.
