Wanted: REV-UP 12-7 THP Propellors

I am in need of some 4 Cycle Series 100 Rev-Up 12-7 THP propellors. Will pay, swap, or whatever. Any leads appreciated.

I've got some really pretty 13x7s, but they are BYandOs. Clarence Buhl made them- they're the hard maple ones. Would they help you out?

Thanks for the response. It might be interesting to try one of the 13-7 props sometime but this situation is a case where, after trying many many different props, I stumbled onto a great combination with engine, airplane, propellor and , ofcourse, I've bashed the blade tips and need to find more props. I had pretty much gone through a pretty large box of props to test when I decided to try the somewhat(to me) oddball THP prop. Going from the paddle blade B-Y&O 12-6 to the narrow Rev-Up 12-7 was an obvious improvement for my airplane and I'm hoping to find some of those somehwere for this contest season.

Dave, Can't help you with RU 12-7, but if you would be interested I have five (5) Top Flight 12-8 and five Top Flight 11-7 3/4. These are Top Flight Power Prop.

Still looking for REV-UP 12-7 props. Maybe some Top Flight 12-6 props I could rework? I was loaned a "Big Jim Technology" 12-7 Windy made back in '88 that has the distinct Top Flight shape and that worked well.

I may have some 12-7, but what inell is THP??

I'm not sure what the THP stands for but that's what's on the prop. It says 4 cycle THP. Perhaps true helical pitch? Just a guess. Anyway, if you have some I'd happily take 'em off your hands, Let me know.

The ones I have, after checking my stash in the garage, are 3- 12/8 and 4- 12/6. Power Props with a 30 or 35 on them next to the size. Never did know what that meant. 3000 or 3500 series??

On the old Top Flite props, the 25, 30, or 35 was the price. (in cents)

I thought that was the series because I never paid .25 for a Power Prop even back in the olde days. Are you sure it's not the series? I was talking to someone at the Texarkana meet and he was talking about a series 2000 prop and said the 20 meant that. No way is a new prop going to cost .20.

THP was "tailored helical pitch"...supposed to be constant pitch throughout the blade. Buso loved these things! Wish I had a few...

I picked up a couple NOS boxes of a dozen 10-5 and 10-6 Top Flites each recently. Original 1950-'60s boxes and props. Red logo, "25" and box has factory sicker "25c" (c with line through it for *cents*). Blue logo "35", factory sticker "35c" (same as above). My other Top Flite prop boxes are marked the same way, so if there was a "series", I can't tell ya, but the *25* and *35* was the price Top Flite put on the props. The red are, naturally, older. Anyway, that's what everyone always charged us for props.... what ever was on it, and the price sticker on the box matched. Wouldn't argue too much with the Texarkana guy, but the proof is in the puddin' (in this case the original box which has no mention of "series" anywhere).

P.S. I was mad when Top Flite upped the price on the paddle blades to .35..... been too used to getting 4 for a $1. I never bought the power props.
