They're out there. Most of my inquiries to locate one have sent me to watch ebay for them. I have found them there from time to time, usually they are a bit pricey

Eric Rule puts out an excellent laser cut kit. A lot more expensive than the original $2.95 Sterling price, but probably cheaper than one of the old kits off eBay. It also will have much better wood and workmanship. The new kit is OTS legal. Eric's website is:

The older I get, the better I used to fly!

I'll put in another good word for Eric's kit. I have an old Sterling S1 (sorry, it's not for sale) and compared it piece by piece with Eric's OTS-legal Ringmaster. The RSM kit only differs in the TE construction, the landing gear, the nose doublers, and the missing plywood LE "tongue" reinforcement. The wood is far superior to the old Sterling stuff and the plans show everything you need to build it as a 1950 version.

Enjoy,

I love to build; I love to fly. The only thing Advanced about me is my age.

Local hobby shops were selling S-1/ and S1-A kits for under $30.00. Then Estes turned it all to S-IT. Then RSM helps us rich UC fliers and makes a kit for $69.95. Some Sterling kits were bad, some so so, some good. My last Ring I built in hand with super glue. No board, and had it framed in 3/4 hour. I still have it flying today. It has been recovered three times, and painted twice.
RSM kit is better, but for me I take the Sterling Ring every time. You ever try to read those God awful written instruction? At VSC Eric was selling modified OS/ LA.46 for $170.00. What the hey could you do to a LA. 46 for a $100.00 more!!!! I have seen stockers that run real fine. Oh well, to each his own.

I picked one up on eBay last spring hoping to use in OTS competition. Then I was blessed with daughter last September. With baby's room next to the shop, I am unable to build anything for at least another season.

I am not a collector. As a matter of fact, I think that kits are meant to be built and it bugs me see Ringmaster just sitting there unbuilt.
If you don't find anything, you can have mine for whatever I paid for it($60). The kit is the old style with the solid leading edge.
