two fox 35 stunts $32.50

fox 36 shine case/slant plug head - $35.00

kb stallion 35 - $32.00

kb torpedo 35 green head minor paint scuffs - $32.00

mccoy35 redhead minor paint scuffs - $32.00

all are complete with needle valves and minus mufflers. Shipping is extra.

What condition are these engines in?

These engines are used but still in good shape. I've turned them over and they have good compression. I haven't fired them up as of yet but they no signs of abuse or modification from the exterior.

But they are not new in the box.

One question for you all - what's the difference between a Fox 35 and a Fox 36? I have been looking round and can't see what the difference is. There were 2 Fox 35's for sale here at $32 and someone else has a 36 for sale at $40. If they were the same price what would you choose?

I have also just inherited a Fox 15 (pretty old but feels good - haven't run it yet). Is there anything on the outside markings or shape to tell what style it is - i.e. if it is a BB version or not? Seems to have a hemi head - the glow plug is tilted.

If it is Schneurle ported I should be able to look down the venturi and see the slot in the crank, and also see the channels on the main cylinder casing - right?

I was looking for a muffler for this engine - in a magazine (AMI) I have seen someone using an Enya muffler, but I also have an Enya .19 and the stock Enya muffler is really heavy. Ideally I would love to replace the Enya muffler with something lighter and buy a muffler for the Fox .15.

Any ideas/takers?

Dave, with a slanted glow plug your fox 15 is a Fox 15X introduced in 1961. That version had no cooling fins on the bottom of the crankcase later ones did. The engine was in production till the very early 90's when the dies were just wore out and no more could be made. There were some varients of it, the Fox 15XX and the rarer 15XXX which everyone knows about but no one seems to have any.
This engine is either loved or berated by those who know no better, they do, however, love the Fox 35 so go figure.
Some have resorted to carrying out their fustrations with Fox motors by having the annual Fox 15 throw. I can't seem to get them to throw them my way as this is one of the few Fox motors that I'm really fond of.
All kidding aside if it's in good shape and has good compression use a fuel of about 25% castor and 10% nitro an 8/4 prop max and a 7/4 if you want more revs and go have fun with it. Don't try and 4/2/4 it as it's an unnatural act for this motor, and it will let you know so by refusing to do it for you. Dennis

Also, does anyone have recommendations for a muffler for an Enya .19 (model V)? I have a stock one but feel it's too heavy.

Finally, I want to buy a Fox 35 or thereabouts and there are 35's and 36's on sale in this forum. All things being equal price-wise, which should I go for?
