Great flying profile Wildcat, 42" wingspan 31.5oz weight. Price includes a OS MAX 35S that runs great that has a Tigre needle valve. Just connect your lines and fly. No damage, plane has about 20 flights on it. Must pick-up in the Charlotte, NC area.

Plane is covered in Monocote and fuse painted in Rustoleum. Quality plane.

it's a bit costly but here's how I shipped that magnum

Hi John,
Most bicycle shops carry boxes large enough to Double box the plane in. If it is shipped via Priority mail chances are it will make it safely. I know this seems like a lot of effort but I'd cover your costs on it. Let me know what you think.

It's really none of my business, but I can sure say to Circle Burner "Been there, done that". I've sold quite a few complete airplanes on eBay, primarily listed for local pickup only, and it never ceases to amaze me how many Bidders think my time is of no consequence and reimbursement for materials only is more than adequate. In fact many don't think they should share in those costs at all!

Trust me, it takes considerable time and effort. And, if the item is damaged in shipment ... well, does anyone here know of a carrier that won't first assign blame to the shipper for faulty packaging?

And then there is the "sale" I made on eBay where - after I'd invested considerable time and more than $20 in materials - eBay allowed the "Buyer" to back out of the "Sale". Golly gee whiz, don't get me started ...

Speaking strictly as an outsider here: seems to me John posted the ad, clearly stated his terms, and has every right to expect his wishes will be respected. I don't blame him one darn bit.

I hope my post didn't appear to suggest that he should ship it?

The box will likely be too large for priority mail. I have shipped several airplanes up to 60" span in sturdy cardboard boxes made to fit the airplane by a guy at a firm that makes boxes($20 for box). Then ship Greyhound(about $65 a box, depending on where it's going). Greyhound claims to have some insurance for damage or loss.
Note: Greyhound employees are not motivated and it will take some prodding to get them to do anything. Also, the passengers at the bus terminal all look like prison escapees. Not to worry, they're only waiting for the bus-care to ride anyone?

They've done the job for me, too. Drop it off at the nearest terminal, specify it's to go "Space Available". Here in Raleigh, NC that seems to equate to the next bus out anyway. They'll call the recipient when it arrives at the destination Greyhound terminal, he picks it up. Best service/lowest cost combo I've found.
