Amcraft Woodchopper.

I am looking for a set of plans for the Amcraft Woodchopper (a control line combat/stunt plane from the 1950's). The kit sold for $2.00 in 1949! Can anyone suggest a source? I have already checked Barry Baxter and he does not have them.....Thanks.....T.Durrill

Try John Miske of the Garden State Circle Burners. I'm at work and don't have his address but an internet search might turn something up. I'm sure other people on this forum know a way of getting in touch with him.

Hold on here....Barry Baxter does have the Woodchopper plans. On page 4 of his combat list.

There were two versions of the Wood chopper. The first one was kitted in Stillwater Oklahoma by Pioneer models in the 1940's. The second was the Amcraft Wood chopper kitted by Amcraft in New York.

The original designer kitted both airplanes. They are a little different.
