Brodak ARFs and Brodak 40s--Update

I don't normally advertise this stuff here, but I will make the exception in this case since so many people are getting anxious.

My allottment of Cardinal and Oriental ARFs and ARCs are pretty well committed.

The Cardinals are

$94.99 for the ARCs (Almost Ready to Cover)
All of my Cardinal ARFs (I think) have been spoken for.

The Orientals are
$109.99 for the ARFs and
$104.99 for the ARCs

The Baby Clowns are $35.99 for the ARFs (and I didn't order any ARCs)

They came in black, yellow, red, and (I think) blue. No guarantees I can give you color choice. If ordering an Oriental ARF give first and second choice (0r third and fourth) would be better. Otherwise I send what I have.

I also have a few Brodak 40s ready to go if anyone wants one and also have more tongue mufflers coming for these.

Unfortunately, no. We have less than the normal dealer discounts on these such as we get on kits and have to pay shipping costs to our door. The Cardinal and Oriental both come in oversize boxes (longer) so the shipping costs go up. And I will get them two to a package.

I will try to assist with shipping to keep it reasonable so that you don't have to pay extra cmpared to buying direct from Brodak, but it all eats into the costs. (Maybe they will need to make ARFs with two piece wings).

The need for a broker to get them into the country, the extra shipping costs involved, and a few other things caught Brodak off guard. It is quite probable that the next wave of these will see an increase in price from them as a result. But they are holding their advertised price on these.

Really? I find this most amusing. "Caught off guard," indeed.

As I have told friends, the numbers don't add up, even with a short discount to dealers. *Good Deal* and a hearty "Right thing to do," when it comes to sticking with advance pricing.

But the next shipment will be more dear, count on it. And I'm not talking about a $5.00 increase.

Len, why are you apologetic when it comes to selling your goods to your customers on this, your forum? There is no need for your recticent manner in matters such as this.

For what it's worth, were I to be paying for this site, the sucker would be *loaded* with commercials for my products. And the wanna-bees would be told to put up their own site. You've got people openly, albiet a little slyly, posting availability of products--custom venturis for example--that compete directly with those you are selling.

Maybe you're a better man than I for putting up with this stuff, but I still must wonder why your products and services don't get up-front billing...

Can you tell us which engine(s) the Baby Clown is set up/recommended for? Do they include a stunt tank or require the engine to have an integral tank? I figure the answer is of general enough interest to ask here rather than in private email. I want to buy one as a present for my wife. REALLY!

Shameless testimonial: the Big Art tongue muffler you sold me for the McCoy 35 is superb. The engine seems perfectly happy to run smoothly and cool with it, and it limits the oil on the model to a thin stripe on the outboard wing. Less goop to clean up on the Ukey 35 than on the 1/2A ships! Go figure...

I do not have my order yet (they were boxed up last week to be shipped out to me today) but there is a product review on this kit in the Rroduct Reviews section by Bob Zambelli.

They are made for the .049 size engines, but, yes, the .065s should work even better. It has been flown with the Black Widow and its own tank as well as the Brodak .049 and a separate 1 ounce tank. So I think the choice would be up to you, but if you use an external tank you will need to provide it.

All of the Cardinal ARFs are now spoken for, I think. That leaves a couple of Oriental ARFs and a couple of ARCs of both types.

Original colors that they came in are red, yellow, blue, and black. At this point you can ask, but might have to take what there is.

I have 9 of the 1/2A's left in stock as well.

What shade of blue is the blue arf Cardinal? Is it Navy, medium blue or a light powder blue?

It is a darker blue, but exact shade I do not know. I also do not know how it compares to a Nobler as I do not have them side to side. Perhaps someone else will know.

I've had an ARF Nobler and I have a blue Cardinal. The Nobler is much darker. I'd call the Cardinal a medium blue. gv
