FOX mufflers --- 35 stunt or 35/40 mark V or VI

I'm looking for new or used mufflers for the above engines. I know that I can order new ones from the Fox Company for $21.95.

Does anyone want to offer some at competative prices??? Perhaps you might have upgraded to up-scale custom mufflers and wan to get rid of he factory "junk".

The Stunt 35 model uses tapped holes on the muffler and clear-drilled holes on two ears cast into the crankcase.

The Mark V/VI model is the opposite. There are two 6/32 tapped holes on the engine and two ears with clear-drilled holes on the muffler.

I'm located in Macomb County, MI.

I am not a great fan of Fox Mufflers ever since I had one blow apart in flight (while using muffler pressure) and the engine went screaming rich for a full 15 minutes. End result, one totally fried engine.

If you are interested in trying a tongue muffler, I have light weight tongue mufflers for both engines available. I am reading that Fox 35 as having the over/under tapped holes in the engine. If that is correct, it takes a special muffler (more expensive, of course) which I have one of.

The 35 tongue muffler is about half an ounce. These are $21.95

The one for the 40 is about 3/10 ounce. These are $ 19.95

I realize the limitiation of Fox mufflers. But, I'm just using them for sport flying, not high-value FAI stunters. I've also experiened a few problems, but mostly related to trying to muffle engines that were designed to run wide open.

The object of the currrent exercise was to get well under the price of $21, not to get at better product a the same price.

Right now, I trying to utilze my current (rather large) inventory of CL models at minimum cost.

God willing, I might live long enough to build a new airplane. I have a couple unfinished projects first.

I have an old tongue muffler that I used on a fox. Unfortunatly I do not have the clamp it used to clamp on. I used it on an old fox without any bolt on lugs. It takes a strap to hold it on. $10.00 including postage.

Bill, your muffer arrived in the mail about an hour ago.

I put in on an engine and barked it for about two minutes. The police have not arrived, so it must have worked.

I can still use MORE mufflers, for Fox Stunt 35, Fox Mark V/VI, K&B Greenhead.

Is anybody holding some Tatone Calumets???

I now have all the .35 Stunt mufflers I need.

I could still use one or two of the Fox Mark V/VI 36/40 mufflers. I would prefer tilt-UP, but can live with tilt-down if that's all I can get.

I realize that I can buy them from Fox for $23. I'm looking to get under that.
