ARF Nobler sale

Tower has the NoblARF for $89.95 and they throw in a $20 gift certificate. Might be enough to convince me to get one.

I have two Nobler ARF's and Two Cardinals one ARF and one Kit the ARF cardinal is a better flyer with the La 40 than the Noblers , One Fox35 and one OS35 S . Price is not the best way to pick an plane. SEE YA NEAL

$70 Bucks aint a bad deal in my book but if you don't mind $100.00 price tag (With no gift certificate) for the Brodak oriental they do look good and will probably save you the few hours doing the mods to the Nobler.

I paid $89.00 for my Nobler including shipping and am not dissatisified.

Your choice since, once assembled, they both fly good.

I have both, I like the Nobler best. Since the Oriental needs the same mods. too, that is a non issue.

So far, the Brodak Oriental will require at least as many mods to the control hardware as the Nobler. The bellcrank and leadouts are better, but the pushrods and control horns will not work as shipped! Even if they would fit, I don't think I would try to use a 2-56 threaded rod with a little tiny clevis for the flap pushrod. The Nobler instruction book was very good. The instructions for the Oriental are so fouled up they are all but useless. Add in the screwed up hinges, and I believe my Nobler was more nearly serviceable than the Brodak Oriental. Obviously no development work on John's part for the way the ARF was really delivered.

I must agree, I didn't really even like the leadouts and the crimping method used on the Oriental, and replaced them. I don't have a built-in bias against using clevises, but I have no doubt that the Oriental clevis set-up will fail in short order. That said, I do like the Oriental, and plan to buy a Smoothie, and P40 when they become available!

I understand that the Brodak ARFs are all sold out. To be honest the best deal looks to be the ARF Streak... use the $20 gift certificate and get a $39 plane that looks and flys better than most that I can build.

I paid $20 for my Nobler (won it via raffle).

I've also got the ARF Cardinal but not yet assembled either.

At any rate, I'm sure both will fly far better than anything else I have in my fleet.

I've also sprung for Tom Morris' replacement control system for the Nobler.
