You will probably need the piston/cylinder.

Is that because of fitting/clearance? The piston was damaged by me not wear.

So if I need both, then anybody got a 29s piston/cylinder combo?

Yes, the piston/cylinder if fitted together. There are manufacturing tolerances that allow cylinders of slightly over or under size to be matched to pistons that are also over or undersize and they are then mated together. Some ringed units are sold separately and the tolerance differences are made up by the ring fit, but the old iron piston units or newer ABC assemblies are sold and replaced as a unit.

Are there any sources to get replacement parts? Or just beg and plead?

In this case it is beg and plead. I have a couple of new in package piston/cylinder assemblies for the 35, but not letting them go. Someone else may have one for the 29 that they are willing to part with. Or there may be an engine that hit the pavement and bent the shaft, broke the case, but the piston/cylinder is still good.

So, any takers for our pleading, needing help, friend?
