I have an NIB tongue muffler to trade.
Tongue muffler uses 4-40 mounting blots, has 1 3/8" bolt spacing and will fit OS LA .40/.46, Fox 35 stunt, Double star .40, OS FP .40, Brodak .40 and others.
I use an identical tongue muffler on my LA .40 but, need to quiet it down more for the neighbors.

You may be a bit optimistic on how many engines this muffler fits. We normally use a 1.400 bolt spacing for the FP 35/40 and 40/46 LA, although the other spacing can be "shoehorned" to fit. The 1 3/8 spacing is better suited for such engines as the TT 36, new Fox 35 (50th anniversary) and the like.
The Brodak 40 is a totally different animal. It uses a 1.100 spacing and the bolts come in from the muffler side and screw into the engine case. I assume this muffler has "ears". You may be able to slot the bolt holes to accomodate the Brodak engine, but then it wouldn't be suitable for any of the other engines.
The above information is for everyone's use just so everyone knows what they are getting into. As to noise, I don't know which tongue muffler you have, but some tongue mufflers aren't all that bad. The stock muffler will be quieter and give a deeper tone (more pleasant to some) but will also provide a lot more back pressure and be considerably heavier. There are after market tube mufflers available that are much lighter and much less restrictive and still provide good quieting. They are more expensive, however, and a swap idea for a stock muffler may be good for both sides if this is a concern.

As for the Brodak .40 I just thought he'd have the sense to standardize his engine with Fox/OS, my mistake.
