Wanted: Sterling Skylark

I need an original Sterling Skylark in any condition. Actually I don't even need the box, just the kit contents in any condition, even missing some parts and with parts punched out.

I can offer at least $60 for a complete boxless kit, and $100 to $150 for a boxed kit, depending upon condition. Maybe more for a nice one.

I'm not a collector...this is for a special web site project.

What was in the Skylark you won on eBay? I am interested in the Neiport parts that are in the box (at least that is what they looked like to me). If that is what they are and if you don't want them let me know. I have a Neiport kit that is missing the aluminum cowl and either the fuselage formers or wing ribs, can't remember which off hand. You have delt with me before, I sold you the old Veco box a while back on eBay.

I knew that some of the parts looked like the Nieuport, but amazingly enough the box contained the entire Nieuport kit contents, but not a single piece of Skylark. I collect all Sterling stuff, so I was lucky to get the complete Nieuport.

I need the Skylark kit parts too, for a special project for my web site.

I bought a Skylark on Ebay also and it was supposed to be a collector's kit. When I got it there was no ribs, landing gear or canopy. I was loaned the canopy and ribs from a kit. I now make and sell reproductions of the canopy. I took the ribs to my copy center and placing two at a time on the glass, I now have prints of them - even the wood grain shows.

I have a complete original Skylark I won on e-bay. Do you just need to borrow it?? I'm not really interested in selling it.

Last year, my wife and I met a nice gent at the Golden State Classic in Clovis. (CA) He had a Skylark finished in dark blue colors, and wife Joey and I were astounded at its finish. We were equally 'taken' with the builder's modesty. Joey and I had done a Sterling kit of this plane 10 years previous, and her recollection of all the parts she had to "re-make" and "re-fit" was hindsight 20-20!
Joey's "kit-fobia" was cured when we received Larry Richards' kits of Veco Redskin and Larry's Bearcat.

Looks like I'll be receiving a kit soon, so thanks for all the responses! This board is a wonderful resource!
